New patients to the clinic for their first visit will be required to pay a consult fee, this includes pensioners and concession card holders. Item 23, $72.85 (Medicare rebate $42.85)is 10-12mins for a single or an uncomplicated matter. Item 36, $132.90 (Medicare rebate $82.90) is a long appt and required for more complex problems or if you have several issues to discuss. It includes pap smears, mental health, antenatal care etc. Future visits will be Bulk Billed for concession card holders and pensioners. All new patients under 16 years old will be Bulk Billed.
HOME VISITS
In some circumstances home visits may be required. This may be able to be arranged for patients living in the local area at the discretion and availability of the doctor.
Please contact the clinic to see if your GP is able to do a home visit where this is required. Please check with the receptionist regarding fees.
Our afterhours medical service provider, National Home Doctor Service can also provide home visits by doctors. Call them directly on 13SICK (that’s 13 7425).
WALK-IN APPOINTMENTS
Daws Road Medical Practice operates by bookings only.
Patients who do not have an appointment with urgent requirements will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
Patients will be triaged at the time of walk in to determine the urgency of the medical need.
For all emergency medical situations, please call an Ambulance on “000” or attend your local Emergency Department.
